The 2014 Grand Generation’s Collection held in Makuhari Messe

Aeon hosted the 2014 Grand Generation’s Collection, the third time the annual event has been held, over three days from April 11 to 13, 2014. The exhibition was held in Makuhari Messe, a major convention center located in Chiba Prefecture, where a total of 52 companies and other organizations, from both in and outside the Group, set up booths to introduce a wide variety of products and services intended to help the “Grand Generation” customers enjoy enriched and fulfilling senior lives.

The 2014 event was held at Aeon Mall Makuhari New City in the same period to enhance the visitor’s experience by providing real store shopping opportunities. The store offered a number of special programs, including a “Grand Generation” matchmaking party organized by Zwei Co., LTD, the Group’s dating service company, and free-of-charge arts and crafts workshops offered by Aeon Culture Co.,LTD.

Aeon is propelling the shift to senior markets in all sorts of ways including the promotion of store development aimed at active seniors such as the G.G Mall refurbished last year at the Aeon Kasai store and product development responding to the needs of those eating alone and the health conscious, as well as providing travel services and fitness clubs.

Aeon will continue our effort to deliver more active and enriched lifestyles to the Grand Generation customers.

*G.G, short for Grand Generation, was coined by an acclaimed Japanese screen writer, Mr. Kundo Koyama. The phrase is used in place of senior, meaning the greatest age during one’s life.
