From September 9th to 11th, record levels of torrential rain hit parts of the Kanto and Tohoku Regions, causing serious damages such as flooding and collapse of houses in Ibaraki, Tochigi, and Miyagi Prefectures. Aeon, in response, undertook various support initiatives, including sending relief goods and dispatching employee volunteers as well as Group companies providing services such as low-interest housing loans by Aeon Financial Service Co., Ltd., and pet care by Aeon Pet Co., Ltd. In addition, Aeon conducted Emergency Donation Campaign from September 11th to 30th at approximately 7,000 Group stores and offices in Japan, raising a total of 4,934,952 yen. The donation was divided equally and presented to Tochigi Prefecture on October 13th and to Ibaraki and Miyagi Prefectures on October 16th. Prior to this, Aeon 1% Club had also granted 5 million yen to the respective prefecture on September 25th as emergency assistance funds. We would like to express our deepest sympathy to all those affected and prays for the earliest restoration of the disaster stricken areas.
